David is an important figure within the Lucid Systems team. He began working for the company in 2010 but he’s always had a keen fascination with computer systems ever since he was a child. When he was just ten years old, he began assembling and tuning computers, as well as configuring his home network. His interest was sparked by his relationship with his grandfather – a keen photographer who was interested in performance computing to enable him to edit photos.
As part of the senior technical team, David is involved in implementing new computing solutions for clients. Over the years, he’s built the trust of many clients by designing and implementing several cycles of their IT systems. He does this by finding solutions to fit a client’s specific needs and budgets. David works closely with our support engineers to provide 3rd line support for the most complex cases and he also facilitates an IT consultancy role to enable clients to understand their current IT situation and their future road map.
He describes his experience at Lucid Systems as “extremely rewarding” and believes that the close, friendly relationship and teamwork between all of our engineers is one of the best things about working at Lucid Systems.
With all of his experience, it comes as no shock that he believes the greatest technical innovation within IT is multi-core processing – after all, “what once took many servers can now be condensed into just a few.”
When he’s not at work, David is a keen sportsman; he was one ranked 25th in the country for mixed doubles badminton, and he’s also a Motorsports fan.
